The 20 clubs involved in the 2019-20 Premier League season have over 488 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/01/2019. This total makes the Premier League the second most popular Top 5 European league on all the three social networks, behind LaLiga Santander, with an average of 24.4 million fans per club.

Manchester United FC are the most popular English club with over 127 million fans, followed by Chelsea FC, with over 82 million and Liverpool FC, with more than 71 million.

Liverpool FC, winners of the 2019 Club World Cup on Saturday 21/12/2019 (1-0, after extra time, versus Flamengo, Campeonato Brasileiro Série A), was the Premier League club that posted the best growth in absolute value during the month of December 2019 with more than 1.5 million additional followers, including nearly 983,000 on Instagram alone. Tottenham Hotspur FC, 2^nd, experienced an increase of more than 1.3 million followers.
