LaLiga Santander: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (January 2020)

The 20 clubs competing in the 2019-20 LaLiga Santander season have more than 495 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/01/2019. This total makes LaLiga Santander the most popular Top 5 European league on all three social networks, ahead of the Premier League, with an average of 24.8 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF is the most popular Spanish club with more than 226 million fans, FC Barcelona, 2^nd, has a total of over 216 million fans, while Club Atlético de Madrid completes the podium with 27 million.

On Instagram, Barça posted the best increase in absolute value (+1.29 million followers) among the clubs of the European Top 5 in December 2019, ahead of Real Madrid (+1.22 million), Juventus FC (Serie A TIM, +1.03 million) and Liverpool FC (Premier League, +982,000).
