Euro 2020: beIN Sports France to broadcast all 51 matches, including 28 exclusively

The pay-TV group beIN Sports has acquired the rights to broadcast all 51 Euro 2020 matches in France, 28 of which will be broadcast exclusively, on 07/01/2020.

The free and private television groups TF1 and M6 acquired the free-to-air broadcasting rights for Euro 2020 on 27/11/2019. The two groups will share, on an exclusive free-to-air basis, the 23 best matches of the competition (including matches of the French national team): 12 group stage matches including the opening match, five Round of 16 games, three quarterfinals, the semi-finals and the final.

beIN Sports, which has been broadcasting the Euro in France since its arrival in 2012, will pay €38m according to L'Équipe, compared to €60m for the 2016 edition held in France. TF1 and M6, which acquired their rights for an estimated €45-50m, previously shared the Euro 2016 free-to-air rights for a similar amount.
