Handball: 85 broadcasters worldwide for the European Men's Handball Championship 09-26/01/2020

The 2020 European Men's Handball Championship, organised from 09 to 26/01/2020 in Austria, Norway and Sweden, is being broadcast worldwide by 85 broadcasters (see list below) and the OTT channel ehfTV.com, according to the EHF, the organising body of the competition, on 08/01/2020.

ARD and ZDF, which through handball recorded the most watched sports event in Germany in 2019 (see below), will provide free broadcasting in the country, while ORF will broadcast the competition in Austria and Nordic Entertainment Group in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, while TF1 (free-TV) and beIN Sports (pay-TV) are the broadcasters in France.

To ensure the production of high-quality content for broadcasters, the agency Infront, which is in charge of producing the competition via its subsidiary Infront Productions, has teamed up with startups such as Minute.ly, whose technology enables it to automatically generate mini-clips, DEEP, which specialises in computer graphics, and Antourage, which simplifies the way content is generated via all of the EHF's digital platforms.
