Rugby: AIG (insurance) will no longer be the main shirt sponsor of the "All Blacks" (NZL) after 2021

The US insurance company American International Group, Inc. (AIG) will terminate its agreement as a major global partner and insurance partner of the New Zealand Rugby Federation, New Zealand Rugby (NZR), at the end of 2021, according to the body on 14/01/2020.

AIG had previously extended its agreement with New Zealand Rugby for six years until the end of the 2023-24 season (the initial contract ran until 2018) on 05/11/2016. AIG has been a partner of NZR since 2012 and as such, is the main shirt sponsor of the All Blacks. The agreement also makes AIG a partner of all New Zealand rugby teams (U20, Women's, Men's and Women's Rugby Sevens and the Maori All Blacks).

The value of the new agreement is approximately NZ$15m (€10m) per year, according to local media. The contract between AIG and the NZR is the highest among the Top 10 for the nation which is No.2 in the World Rugby rankings on 14/01/2020.
