DAZN: football (6) and boxing (4) share the Top 10 most watched sporting events in 2019

The heavyweight boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr. (on 07/12/2019) was the most watched event on DAZN in 2019, according to the OTT sports platform on 07/01/2020. Among the ten most watched sports events on DAZN in 2019 (see list below) are six football matches and four boxing matches.

"In total, more than 100 events (107) each surpassed one million streams during the year (2019). As more sports shift from linear to OTT distribution, DAZN saw record consumption in 2019 with more than a half billion hours streamed (507 million), an increase of 98% from the 256 million hours streamed in 2018," explained the OTT platform, which had eight million subscribers worldwide, according to information reported by the US financial news channel CNBC on 22/11/2019 (see below).

According to DAZN Football was the most consumed sport on the platform in 2019 with 314.6 million hours ahead of baseball (38.1 million hours), motorsport (37.9 million hours), American football (37.2 million hours) and boxing (22.6 million hours).
