LFP: "Value of the Ligue 2 naming rights agreement increased by 50% with BKT" (D. Quillot, CEO)

"The value of the (naming rights) agreement with BKT corresponds to an increase of 50% compared to what Domino's Pizza France was paying for 2016-2020. This amount for the Ligue 2 naming rights corresponds to the sum paid by BKT to the Lega Serie B for the Serie BKT naming rights," said Didier Quillot, CEO of the LFP, to News Tank Football on 15/01/2020.

Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT), an Indian tyre manufacturer, extended its partnership with the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) and obtained Ligue 2 naming rights for four seasons, from 2020-21 until the end of 2023-24, according to the LFP on 15/01/2020. The competition will be renamed Ligue 2 BKT from 01/07/2020. BKT succeeds Domino's Pizza France, a network of franchised fast food and take-away food outlets, which obtained the Ligue 2 naming rights for the 2016-2020 period on 14/04/2016.

The value of the new agreement with BKT will be between €1.95-2.25m per season, or between €7.6-9m in total over the 2020-2024 cycle.
