Naming rights in France: LFP to receive €34.2m from Uber Eats and BKT over the 2020-2022 cycle

The two French professional football divisions will change their titles from 2020-21: the leagues organised by the Ligue de Football Professionnel will be known as "Ligue 1 Uber Eats" and "Ligue 2 BKT".

In total, the LFP will receive €34.2m over the 2020-2022 period from its two title sponsors (including an average of €2.1m annually from BKT), or €16.1m in 2020-21 and €18.1m in 2021-22.

For the naming of the LFP competitions in 2019-20, Conforama (Ligue 1, €7m per year), Domino's Pizza France (Ligue 2, €1.4m per year) and BKT (Coupe de la Ligue, €3m per year) pay the French league a cumulative total of €11.4m. This amount will therefore increase by 41% in 2020-21, and by 58% in 2021-22.

Consequently, the total amount received by LFP for the naming rights to its competitions over the 2020-2022 cycle will increase by 50% compared to during the 2018-2020 cycle (€22.8m, not including the agreement with Orange for the e-Ligue 1 in 2018-19), despite the suspension of the Coupe de la Ligue BKT at the end of 2019-20 (see below).
