eSports: Nike, equipment supplier of T1 Entertainment & Sports (South Korea) and LoL player Faker

Nike has become the official equipment supplier of the eSports organisation T1 Entertainment & Sports (formerly SK Telecom) from 2020, announced the South Korean company on 16/01/2020.

The American brand equips all T1 teams (kits and footwear), including the T1 League of Legends team which features the South Korean player Faker (Lee Sang-Hyeok), three-time winner of the Worlds (League of Legends World Championship, developed by Riot Games).

"Nike will also create training programmes designed to enhance the athletic capabilities of T1's players and teams based on its sports research facilities and athletic training programmes. The training programmes will be implemented at training facilities within the T1 headquarters in Seoul (KOR), which is scheduled to open early 2020," explained the equipment manufacturer.

Nike has previously entered into other partnerships in eSports, notably by becoming the official equipment supplier of Legends Pro League (LPL), the Chinese league on the League of Legends video game, for four years (2019-2022, €6.58m/year), on 28/02/2019. The American brand…
