Bundesliga: Kappa (ITA) to succeed Lotto Sport as equipment supplier of FSV Mainz for 2020-2025

Kappa, an Italian equipment manufacturer, will become the official equipment supplier of FSV Mainz 05 (Bundesliga) from 2020-21, for five seasons (2020-2025), according to the German club on 17/01/2020. The agreement was negotiated by Infront, FSV Mainz's exclusive marketing agency for the 2015-2025 period.

Kappa will equip all of the club's football teams from the U8's upwards, as well as its handball and table tennis teams. In 2019-20, no Bundesliga has Kappa as an equipment supplier.

FSV Mainz had previously announced that it would not renew its contract with Lotto Sport Italia at the end of the term of the agreement, which expires on 30/06/2020, on 10/01/2020. Lotto Sport had replaced Nike as FSV Mainz's equipment supplier for five seasons (2015-2020, €1.5m/year) following an agreement on 08/06/2015. The Italian brand was also the German club's equipment supplier during the 2001-2008 period. In 2019-20, FSV Mainz is the only club to be equipped by Lotto in the Bundesliga.
