eSports: LPL, T1, SK Gaming, Vodafone Giants ... Nike accelerates its sponsorship strategy in 2020

Nike has become an official partner and equipment supplier of the teams SK Gaming (GER) and Vodafone Giants (ESP) from 2020, announced the eSports organisations on 17/01/2020. These are the second and third partnerships signed by the American equipment manufacturer in the eSports sector in January 2020, and the first in Europe for the discipline.

For its first time in the German eSports market, SK Gaming will be accompanied by Nike and 11teamsports, the German online sports retailer. This is a long-term commitment. The agreement with Vodafone Giants is also intended to be long-term.

Nike became the official equipment supplier of the eSports organisation T1 Entertainment & Sports (formerly SK Telecom) from 2020 on 16/01/2020. The American brand equips all of T1's teams (kits and footwear), including the T1 League of Legends team which features South Korean player Faker (Lee Sang-Hyeok), three-time winner of the Worlds (League of Legends World Championship, Riot Games).
