Real Madrid CF: agreement with Emir of Dubai's Foundation for 10 football schools in the MENA region

The Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) Foundation has signed a collaboration agreement for the creation of 10 "socio-sporting football schools" in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) over the next three years with the "Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives" (MBRGI), the philanthropic foundation of the Emir of Dubai and vice-president of the United Arab Emirates, announced the Spanish club on 15/01/2020.

The football schools will be launched in two phases. During the first phase, schools will be set up from January 2020 in Tangier and Ben Guerir (Morocco), Alexandria (Egypt) and Fuheis (Jordan), while a joint project will be set up between two refugee camps in Al Baqa'a and Irbid (Jordan). The second phase will see the opening of two more schools in Egypt, two more in Uzbekistan and one in the Jordanian-Emirati refugee camp of Mrajeeb Al Fhood. In total, the 10 schools will be able to accommodate 4,500 young people aged between 6 and 17.
