NBA: Chime (finance) becomes a jersey sponsor of the Dallas Mavericks for three seasons (2019-2022)

Chime, a US financial services company, has become a partner and jersey sponsor of the Dallas Mavericks (NBA) for three seasons (2019-2022), announced the Western Conference franchise on 17/01/2020. The agreement will include a clause for an optional two additional seasons (2022-2024), according to US media reports on 17/01/2020.

As part of the agreement, "the Chime logo will be on the front left shoulder strap of all four of the Mavericks' uniform jerseys and authentic jerseys sold at the merchandise shops (from 17/01/2020). The partnership also includes exclusive category rights and multiple advertising, promotional and community-focused initiatives," said the franchise.

The Mavericks have not had a jersey (pocket) sponsor since the termination of their contract with 5miles (e-commerce). In August 2019, the two companies mutually agreed to end this partnership, which began during the 2017-18 season (initially scheduled to run until 2019-20).
