The Emirates Stadium (60,260 capacity) will be 100% cashless from March 2020 in order to "improve fans' matchday experience," announced Arsenal FC (Premier League) on 17/01/2020.

All payments at all points of sale within the Emirates Stadium (refreshment stands, restaurants, kiosks, shops, etc.) must be made by credit card, as the club does not have an alternative cashless system in place. "93% of our stadium transactions are currently made via card payment. By moving to a fully cashless operation, our fans can expect to experience increased speed and shorter queue times at our bars and kiosks," said Tom McCann, venue director for Arsenal FC.

"The move comes into effect for our home fixture against West Ham United FC (Matchday 29 of the 2019-20 Premier League season, on 07/03/2020). It follows extensive research which looked at our supporters' habits, the matchday experience and other cashless venues across the UK," said the London (ENG) club. Arsenal's stadium will also be 100% cashless between matchdays.
