French professional football player Antoine Griezmann, who plays for FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander), has announced the creation of his own eSports team named "Grizi Esport" on 20/01/2020.

The 2018 World Champion with the French national team heads the structure with his brother Théo Griezman. A call for player applications was posted on the official Grizi Esport Twitter account on 20/01/2020.

The aim of the eSports structure is to form competitive teams on the video games Fortnite (published by Epic Games), League of Legends (Riot Games), Rainbow Six Siege (Ubisoft), FIFA (EA Sports) and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (Valve). Antoine Griezmann is therefore diversifying his business activities as he also became involved in horse racing by creating his own company on 29/12/2019 (see below).

Antoine Griezmann joins fellow French athletes Rudy Gobert (basketball), Julien Benneteau (tennis), Yannick Agnel (swimming) and Tony Parker (basketball), who are already involved in eSports (see below).
