Chelsea FC: Three (telecommunications) succeeds Yokohama Tyres as main shirt sponsor for 2020-2023

Three, the telephone operator of the Hong Kong-based CK Hutchison Holdings group, has become a partner and main shirt sponsor of Chelsea FC (Premier League) for three seasons from 2020-21 (2020-2023), announced the English club on 24/01/2020. The brand will also be featured on the kits of the Chelsea's senior women's team and the academy's youth teams.

"The deal is a significant one for Chelsea financially," said the club. Three will pay an estimated at £40m (€47.4m) annually according to British media on 24/01/2020.

Three succeeds the Japanese tyre brand Yokohama Tyres, Chelsea's main shirt sponsor for the 2015-2020 cycle, which paid a similar amount to Three. "Although the current season will bring to an end five very successful years with Yokohama as Chelsea's official shirt partner, the Japanese company is continuing the great relationship we have as our official tyre partner," said the club.
