Euro 2020: M6 to broadcast 11 free-to-air matches including the final in France

M6 will broadcast 11 Euro 2020 matches including the final, while TF1 will broadcast 12 matches including the opening game of the competition, according to the two French free and private TV channels on 24/01/2020, following a draw between them.

The distribution of matches between the two channels:
• TF1 (12 matches):
- six group matches including two for the French team and the opening match: Turkey - Italy, on 12/06/2019 at 21:00 CET in Rome (Italy)
- three Round of 16 matches including the first choice
- two quarterfinals
- one semi-final (first choice)

• M6 (11 matches):
- six group matches including one match of the French team at prime time and Portugal - Germany on 20/06/2019 at 18:00 CET, in Munich (Germany)
- two Round of 16 matches
- one quarterfinal (first choice)
- one semi-final (second choice)
- the final

The two channels acquired the free-to-air rights to the competition for an estimated €45-50m on 27/11/2019. The pay-TV group beIN Sports acquired the rights to broadcast all 51 Euro 2020 matches in France, including 28 matches exclusively, on 07/01/2020.
