Italy: FIGC unanimously approves a projected 2020 budget with a gross margin of €21.4m

With a 2020 turnover of €185.4m (revised upwards +€12.5m) and an estimated gross margin of €21.4m, "the Federation has respected the commitments it made when it set itself the objective of restoring the economic balance of its operating profits," said Gabriele Gravina, president of the FIGC, after the Federal Council unanimously approved the projected budget for 2020, in Rome (ITA) on 27/01/2020.

The initial forecast was for a negative result of €9.1m. The FIGC specified that its revised budget does not take into account any possible revenue from Euro 2020 (four matches at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, including the opening match between Turkey and Italy on Friday 12/06/2020), nor from the national "Sport and Health" programme.

"During the Federal Council meeting, Gabriele Gravina presented a comprehensive development plan based on three fundamental pillars: women's football, youth football and sports facilities," said the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio.
