Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Premier League) has launched an eSports team on Player Unknown's Battlegrounds (published by PUBG Corporation), an online multiplayer fighting game played on PC, through the recruitment of two coaches and six players, according to the English club on 21/01/2020.

This is the fourth game played by Wolves eSports after FIFA (EA Sports), FIFA Online 4 (see below) and Crazy Racing (TouchTao). Wolves PUBG will participate, along with 47 other teams, in the next PCL (PUBG Champions League) which will take place in China from 09/02 to 01/03/2020.

"Player Unknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) currently has over 500 million players worldwide and the number of active players from China has exceeded six million, twice that of the United States. The 2019 PCL Summer Season attracted more than 510 million live viewers," said the club.
