FC Barcelona: 1.417 billion interactions on social networks in 2019, a record for a club

With 1.417 billion, FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) was the club that generated the most interactions on the main social networks (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) during 2019, announced the Catalan club on 23/01/2020.

According to data provided by Blinkfire Analytics, a company specialised in measuring social network data, FC Barcelona is ahead of Liverpool FC (Premier League, 1.161 billion) and Manchester United FC (Premier League, 1.044 billion). The three clubs are the only ones to exceed the one billion interactions mark in 2019.

FC Barcelona saw its number of interactions increase by 20.3% between 2018 (1.18 billion) and 2019. 1.21 billion of these interactions were concentrated on Instagram, 85% of the total, compared to 108.1 million on Facebook and 97.8 million on Twitter.
