Sky: a turnover of $19.219bn and an EBITDA of $3.099bn for the pay-TV operator in 2019

The British pay-TV operator Sky posted a turnover of $19.219bn (€17.12bn) in 2019, according to its parent company Comcast (a media conglomerate and US cable operator), on 23/01/2020. This figure is down 3% compared to 2018 but up 1.7% on a constant exchange rate basis.

The pay-TV operator present in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy posted an EBITDA of $3.099bn (€2.76bn) in 2019, up 7.1% and 12.2% on a constant exchange rate basis.

Sky had almost 24 million subscribers (23.994 million) on 12/31/2019, a figure up 1.6% from 12/31/2018.

Comcast bought Sky for £30.6bn (€34.3bn) after outbidding another interested US conglomerate, 21st Century Fox, on 22/09/2018.
