Bundesliga: Björn Borgerding elected chairman of the supervisory board of Fortuna Düsseldorf

Björn Borgerding has been elected chairman of the supervisory board of Fortuna Düsseldorf (Bundesliga), announced the German club on 27/01/2020.

Björn Borgerding (37 years old) has been a member of the supervisory board of the North Rhine-Westphalia club since 2014. He succeeds to Reinhold Ernst (56 years old) as chairman, while the latter will continue to serve on the board as an ordinary member.

"I am happy to take on this great responsibility. I look forward to continuing to work with the board of directors in a spirit of trust and to continue to positively support the club. From a sporting point of view, we are not in an easy position. Therefore, we all have to come together to achieve our big goal of staying in the Bundesliga," said Björn Borgerding.
