LaLiga: Hollywoodbets (betting) becomes a regional partner in South Africa for 2019-20

Hollywoodbets, a South African sports betting operator, has become a regional partner of LaLiga for South Africa for the second half of 2019-20, announced the brand on 29/01/2020. Hollywoodbets will be displayed on signage during LaLiga Santander matches for the South African market thanks to geo-localised virtual advertising technology.

The Durban-based brand has the status of regional partner, the fifth level in LaLiga's sponsorship hierarchy. In 2019-20, the Spanish league signed eight regional partnership agreements (see below): in China, Japan, India, Guatemala and the Middle East.

The Spanish league had previously entered into a first regional partnership for South Africa with Kingsley Beverages, a South African manufacturer and distributor of beverages, in the isotonic drinks category on 01/11/2016. The partnership with Hollywoodbets is LaLiga's first betting partnership in South Africa.
