CAF-FIFA: "Six-month mission has been completed" announces FIFA, Fatma Samoura's mandate not renewed

"The six-month mission agreed between FIFA and CAF to help accelerate the implementation of the reform process in the African governing body has been completed with the delivery of a set of findings, recommendations and proposals," announced FIFA on 02/02/2020.

"The various conclusions were presented to the CAF executive committee at their meeting held in Rabat, Morocco, this Sunday (02/02/2020), where it was decided that the implementation of these recommendations with be further analyzed and this new phase will focus on four areas: refereeing, infrastructures, competitions and good governance (see details below)," added the international Federation.

Members of the Confederation of African Football's executive committee voted by majority not to extend Fatma Samoura's mandate as FIFA general delegate to CAF, a position that she has held at the headquarters of the African body in Cairo (EGY) since 01/08/2019, according to African media on 02/02/2020.
