LaLiga Santander: CaixaBank and RCD Espanyol create Spain's first cashless stadium via club's app

The Spanish bank CaixaBank has worked with RCD Espanyol (LaLiga Santander) to make the RCDE Stadium (40,500 capacity) the "first cashless stadium in Spain" via the use of the RCD Espanyol de Barcelona application, which is due to launch in "15 days," announced the club and the bank on 05/02/2020.

With the club's new application, "fans will be able to book everything they need to enjoy a match in advance and pick it up at the stadium without having to queue up or use cash or cards. The new app's features include ticketless entry to the stadium, secure season pass transfer and purchasing food and drink to pick up at a selected time without having to queue, as well as buying merchandise," said RCD Espanyol.

CaixaBank has the status of official sponsor, the second level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the Spanish club.
