LaLiga Santander: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram statements of the 20 clubs (February 2020)

The 20 clubs competing in the 2019-20 LaLiga Santander season have more than 499 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/02/2019. This total makes LaLiga Santander the most popular Top 5 European league on all three social networks, ahead of the Premier League, with an average of 25 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF is the most popular Spanish club with more than 228 million fans, while FC Barcelona, second, with a total of 218 million fans, are ahead of Club Atlético de Madrid in third place with 27.3 million.

Real Valladolid CF was the club that posted the best percentage growth on Instagram (+9.9%) and Facebook (+2.9%), while Getafe CF experience the best growth on Twitter (+2.7%).

On Instagram, Real Madrid posted the best increase in absolute (+1.5 million followers) value among the clubs of the European Top 5 in January 2020, ahead of FC Barcelona (+1.3 million), Juventus FC (Serie A TIM, +1.2 million) and Liverpool FC (Premier League, +1.1 million).
