Olympique Lyonnais: Fly Emirates to succeed Hyundai as main shirt sponsor for 2020-2025

Emirates, an Emirati airline, will become a partner and main shirt sponsor of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Conforama) for five seasons from the 2020-21 season, announced the French club on 06/02/2020. The agreement was negotiated by the sports marketing agency Infront. 

Emirates will replace Hyundai (car manufacturer), the club's premium partner and main shirt sponsor since the 2012-13 season. The annual value of the contract paid by the South Korean car manufacturer is estimated around €5m.

"The iconic Emirates 'Fly Better' logo will appear on the front of the OL team's training kits and playing jerseys for all the club's matches, including the French Championship and European Cup until June 2025. In addition to being shirt sponsors, the agreement will provide Emirates with highly visible branding across Groupama Stadium, as well as hospitality, ticketing and other marketing rights," said the club.

Emirates is also the main shirt sponsor of Arsenal FC (Premier League) for the 2006-2024 period and holds the naming rights for its stadium until 2027-28 (Emirates Stadium). The airline…
