Think Football 2020: "We've submitted an application to create our channel" (J. Bergeaud, Mediapro)

"We have submitted an application to the CSA (French audiovisual control body) for an agreement to create our channel. We will truly be the channel and the home of French football, the home of all the clubs, the big clubs, but also of all the others. We are going to broadcast a 24/7 channel dedicated solely to football. We have announced a monthly rate of €25, a rate that we consider particularly attractive, because it currently costs around €49/month to access the content we will have," said Julien Bergeaud, CEO of Mediapro Sports France, at the fourth edition of Think Football, organised by News Tank Football at INSEEC U. Julien Bergeaud spoke about Mediapro's strategy during the first half of the grand conference on French professional football, since Mediapro has acquired the broadcasting rights in France for 85% of the Ligue 1 matches (80% of which are exclusive) and the Ligue 2 multiplex (eight games per matchday exclusively) over the 2020-2024 cycle on 29/05/2018.
