FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) has presented its new digital strategy aimed at creating a "new relationship with fans in order to adapt to changing consumer habits," announced the club on 03/02/2020.

The new strategy (see document available to download) consists of addressing the club's fans "without intermediaries" as part of a personalised content offer. It is built around "three core areas: attracting global audiences, entertainment and data, and the creation of an ecosystem of Barça digital products" including the new Barça TV+ OTT platform expected in spring 2020.

"This new digital strategy involves a new evolution of the club's revenue streams, whereby the digital business is to become one of its main sources of income in the coming years," said the Catalan club, which aims to triple the revenue it generates from the use of its various digital channels in five years. These revenues currently stand at around €100m, mainly through ticketing and the online shop.
