eSports: Atalanta launches a team and organises a selection process in order to recruit new players

Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio (Serie A TIM) has launched an eSports team in order to participate in the "eSerie A TIM", the Italian League's first eSports competition (see below), announced the club on 06/02/2020. The project will be managed in collaboration with eSport Palace, and Ak Informatica, an Italian company specialised in computing and technology.

Jacopo "JC_STUNNER_90" Crocchia and Antonio "ProRope72" Mincione will be Atalanta's captains on PES 2020 and FIFA 20 respectively, while the club is planing to organise "tryouts" to recruit additional players for its teams (PES and FIFA). "Atalanta Esports team's stadium will be the ESport Palace in Bergam (ITA), where a dedicated area exclusively made for the Esports Made in Atalanta has been created, in which periodically test matches and meet ad greets with the fans will take place. Esport Palace and Ak Informatica will also provide a dedicated team, formed by analysts and coaches, with the aim to create a highly competitive level both in Italy and abroad," explained Atalanta.
