Adidas, HP and Microsoft, first brands to use the new Twitter interface

Adidas, HP and Microsoft are the first brands to have updated the interface of their Twitter profile page, on 09/04/2014.

This new interface is more visual with a large cover photo (1500 x 500) and a profile picture that has been moved to the left of the page and has tripled in size (from 73 x 73 to 220 x 220).

Two new columns on the sides of the profile page complete the interface. The left one lists the user's subscribers, photos and videos and the right one shows the recommended accounts and trends. In the main column, messages take more space, and photos are larger.

The three new features for displaying tweets:

  • Best Tweets: Tweets that have received more engagement will appear slightly larger, so your best content is easy to find.
  • Pinned Tweet: it allows the user to highlight the Tweets of his choice to the top of the main column of the page. For instance Adidas "pinned" a tweet of its ambassador Kanye West, sothe followers can easily see it.
  • Filtered Tweets: it allows the user to choose the content of his timeline. Brands can either show all their tweets or display only…
