Austria: Tipico (sports betting) extends as title sponsor of the ÖFBL until 2020-21

Tipico, a sports betting operator, has extended, as title sponsor of the "Tipico Bundesliga", the Austrian men's football league, for the 2020-21 season, via the the Österreichische Fußball-Bundesliga (ÖFBL), on 11/02/2020. Tipico activated the option provided for in the previous extension of the agreement with the League on 29/03/2018, which provided for an additional year to the contract.

The Malta-based company became a title partner of the Austrian Bundesliga until 2016-17 on 07/03/2014. Tipico had previously extended its agreement by one season until 2017-18, on 23/12/2016, then for 2018-2020, on 29/03/2018. The amount paid by Tipico to the ÖFBL is estimated at €2m per season, the same amount as its predecessor, the Austrian betting operator Tipp3, title partner of the Austrian league until 2013-14.

The Maltese betting operator HpyBet is the title sponsor of the Austrian men's second division organised by the ÖFBL, the "Hypbet 2.Liga", for the 2018-2021 cycle.
