TV rights for 2015-2018 Europa League: Second call for offers organised by UEFA

UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) announced on 10/04/2014 that it would hold a second round of bidding for the 2015-2018 French TV rights for the Europa League. Candidates had until 11/04/2014 at 12:00 CET (Central European Time) to submit new offers.

The European body had launched the French tender for the 2015-2018 broadcast rights to the Champions League and Europa League on 26/02/2014. The date rights will be awarded has not been disclosed. French broadcasters interested in the tender originally had until 07/04/2014 at 24:00 CET to submit their proposals to Team Marketing, the agency that manages and markets the TV rights of UEFA club competitions.

The free TV channel M6 (through its DTT channel W9) and pay TV channel beIN Sports have been co-broadcasting the Europa League in France during the 2012-2015 cycle. The total amount paid annually by the two broadcasters to UEFA is estimated at €16m.
