Premiership Rugby: Allianz to end contract as lead partner of Saracens at the end of 2019-20

The German insurance company Allianz will end its involvement as lead partner of Saracens (Gallagher Premiership Rugby) at the end of the 2019-20 season, according to the club on 13/02/2020. The agreement, which was due to run until the end of 2020-21, includes the naming rights to the Allianz Park in London and visibility as a main jersey sponsor. Allianz pays Saracens £2m (€2.4m) per season.

The announcement is another setback for the club, which will be relegated at the end of the 2019-20 season, as announced by Premiership Rugby on 18/01/2020. The decision concluded a dialogue between the body and Saracens, which began after the club confirmed on 18/11/2019 that it accepted Premiership Rugby's sanction of the withdrawal of 35 points from their 2019-20 league standings (with no impact on other national or European competitions) and a fine of £5.36m (€6.2m) for failing to comply with the salary cap regulations.
