In 2019, the revenue of the pay and free-TV group Canal+ amounted to €5.268bn, up 2% compared to 2018 (-0.9% at constant exchange currency and perimeter), according to the results published by Vivendi, the French conglomerate of telecommunications and media companies and parent company of Canal+, on 13/02/2020.

"Television revenue in mainland France was down 2.8% at constant currency and perimeter due to the drop in the portfolio of self-distributed individual subscribers (-149,000 in 2019). The Canal+ subscriber portfolio has recorded net growth of 72,000 subscribers over the past 12 months," said Vivendi.

International sales rose 13.7% (+6.1% at constant currency and perimeter) thanks in part to the integration of M7 (on 12/09/2019), an aggregator and channel distributor based in Luxembourg and present in seven European countries (Netherlands, Belgium, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Austria).

The Canal+ group recorded adjusted operating income (EBITA) of €343m in 2019 (-14.3%; -19.3% at constant currency and perimeter).
