"At the moment we're in talks with Groupama to extend the stadium naming rights agreement. We're also exchanging ideas with other parties who have expressed their interest to us. But we won't change for the sake of change, we'll switch to another party if reasons of duration or amount justify it. Groupama's first contract was for three years, that's not enough now. Ideally we'd like to make progress on longer term contracts," explained Cyrille Groll, director of sales and business development at Olympique Lyonnais, to News Tank Football on 17/02/2020.

Groupama Rhône-Alpes Auvergne, a regional subsidiary of the French insurance and banking group, acquired the naming rights to the Groupama Stadium (57,206 capacity) from OL Groupe for a period of three seasons (2017-2020) on 12/07/2017.

"Starting with the 2020-21 season, we'll have a much sleeker shirt. One of Emirates' prerequisites is to have an exclusive display on the front of the men's team shirts. Emirates will therefore display itself alone on our shirts, without the current pocket sponsors (Groupama and MDA)," said Cyrille Groll…
