The Allianz insurance company acquired the naming rights to the women's Bundesliga from the 2013-14 season. The announcement was made on 10/04/2014. The contract makes Allianz the title sponsor of the German women's championship, thus becoming the "Allianz Bundesliga", until the end of the 2018-19 season.

The naming contract is estimated at €1.2m per year. The funds will be distributed equally among the 12 clubs of the championship, at about €100,000 each per season. "The alliance with Allianz is a strong sign. For the Bundesliga, a big step has been made. Redistribution ensures that the twelve league clubs will develop at the same pace," said Siegfried Dietrich, spokesman for the Allianz Bundesliga.

Allianz will be present on the advertising boards at all stadiums and will have its logo on the sleeve of each club's shirt. Allianz, a partner of the DFB (German Federation), has been the main partner of the women's national team since 2011. That contract ends on 31/12/2014 and brings one million euros per year into women's football.
