Switzerland: N. Al-Khelaïfi (beIN Media Group) and J. Valcke (ex-FIFA) charged by the Prosecutor

"The Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (OAG) has filed an indictment against the former Secretary General of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), Jerôme Valcke, the chairman of the BeIN Media Group, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, and a businessman in the sports rights sector in connection with the award of media rights to various World Cup and FIFA Confederations Cup tournaments," announced Swiss justice in Bern (SUI) on 20/02/2020.

"After a comprehensive three-year investigation, I am pleased that all corruption allegations related to the 2026 and 2030 World Cups have been dropped," said Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, adding that only "a secondary technical charge remains pending "(read full press release below).
