Telefonica: a turnover of €48.4bn (-0.6%) and net profit of €1.142bn (-65.7%) in 2019

The telecommunications group Telefonica posted a turnover of €48.422bn in 2019, down 0.6% compared to 2018, according to the financial results published by the Spanish group on 20/02/2020.

Telefonica posted operating profit of €6.335bn, down 15% compared to the financial year 2018. Net profit was €1.142bn in 2019, down 65.7% year-on-year.

The group's net debt at 31/12/2019 was down 8% over the 12 months to €37.744bn, representing 78% of the group's turnover.
