Serie A TIM: Sorare (blockchain), crypto-digital cards featuring Juventus FC players

Sorare, a French blockchain startup, has signed a licensing agreement with Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) to integrate the club's players on Sorare's fantasy leagues platform, on 20/02/2020. Juvenuts join AS Roma (agreement on 30/01/2020), Societa Sportiva Calcio Napoli (22/01/2020) among the Italian clubs present on the French startup's platform.

Sorare offers a platform that allows football fans to collect, exchange and play with digital goods related to football. As part of the agreement, the startup will be able to issue crypto-digital cards representing Juventus players including Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo. 67 clubs are featured in the Parisian startup's fantasy league, which has sold over 10,000 cards (as of 21/02/2020) since its launch in 2018.

"These cards are freely exchangeable on the Sorare market place. Blockchain technology is used to guarantee the authenticity and 'digital rarity' of these cards.
