LaLiga Santander: Taiping Life Insurance becomes a regional partner of FC Barcelona in East Asia

Taiping Life Insurance, a Chinese insurance conglomerate, has become a regional partner of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) for China, Macau, Taiwan and Hong Kong for three and a half seasons (2019-2023), announced the club on 21/02/2020.

Taiping Life Insurance has the status of regional partner, the fourth level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the Catalan club. This is Barça's third regional partnership in 2019-20 (see below). These agreements enable the club to reach Asian countries (South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Macau, Taiwan and Hong Kong) as well as Brazil with Banco BMG (bank).

"As part of the agreement, the company has the marketing and advertising rights to virtual LED during broadcasting in China. Taiping Life Insurance activated the virtual LED rights for the first time during the FC Barcelona - Getafe CF (2-1) match last Saturday (15/02/2020) to deliver a united message with the club in support of the people of China in light of the Coronavirus crisis (see below).
