With €660.1m in turnover in 2018-19, FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) was ranked fourth place in the Deloitte Football Money League 2020, in which Chelsea FC (Premier League)were ranked fourteenth with a turnover of €513.1m, as the two clubs prepare to face each other in the 2019-20 Champions League Round of 16 first leg at Stamford Bridge (London, ENG), on Tuesday 25/02/2020 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).

According to the 2020 edition of the Deloitte Football Money League, while Chelsea received more from audiovisual revenue than Bayern Munich in 2018-19 (€227.1m versus €211.2m), the Premier League club lagged behind in terms of matchday revenue (€75.6m versus €92.4m) and commercial revenue (€210.4m versus €356.4m).

With nearly 86 million fans on social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as of 01/02/2020), the London club has 11% more than their Bavarian opponents, which total just over 77 million.
