"Football, basketball and handball are the most appealing sports in France" (Sport Index 2019)

Football, basketball, handball, athletics, rugby, cycling, skiing, motorcycling, motor sports and tennis are the 10 most appealing sports in France, according to the analysis survey "Sport Index" which was concluded on 31/12/2019, and the results of which were communicated by the French business management consultancy NPA Conseil, at the headquarters of the French sports daily L'Équipe in Boulogne-Billancourt (Paris, FRA), on 25/02/2020.

Sport Index "measures the appeal of 40 sports disciplines in France through 23 criteria, which represent over 30,000 items of data collected every six months, making it possible to produce a rating according to five main categories:
• Practice: evolution of the number of licensees in the different disciplines studied, but also distribution by gender, age and region.
• Exposure: in the press, free and pay TV, social networks and on the web.• Ecosystem: e-commerce referencing, number and power of sponsors or importance on sports betting websites.
