FIFA Foundation: "2020 budget will be 4 to 5 times higher than in 2019 ($8m)" (Y. Djorkaeff)

"The FIFA Foundation's 2020 budget has not yet been defined. The strategy is still being finalised with the deployment of the Football For Schools programme. It was $8m (€7m) in 2019 and will be four to five times higher this year," said Youri Djorkaeff, CEO of the FIFA Foundation (since 18/09/2019), to News Tank Football on 25/02/2020.

"Education, women's rights and the fight against racism are close to my heart. But you can't just touch on one subject when you work at the FIFA Foundation. You have to have a 360-degree strategy and you have to go into every area. Education is essential because there is a real demand and through football we can build confidence and bring boys and girls together," added the Think Football 2020 ambassador.

"Football For Schools has to be launched everywhere, it has to be accessible to everyone. It's not just about building a pitch.
