DFB-Pokal: La chaine L'Équipe acquires the TV rights for France until the end of the 2019-20 season

La chaine L'Équipe has acquired the broadcasting rights to the DFB-Pokal for France until the end of the 2019-20 season, announced the free DTT channel on 28/02/2020.

La Chaîne L'Équipe will broadcast an exclusive line-up with the quarterfinal, FC Schalke 04 - FC Bayern Munich, on Tuesday 03/03/2020 (kick-off at 20:45), as well as the semi-finals (21 and 22/04/2020) and the final (23/05/2020) of the competition.

The German Cup has not been broadcast on television in France since the end of the 2017-18 season and the termination of the broadcasting agreement with the pay-TV group beIN Sports.

La Chaine L'Équipe: an audience share of 1.6% in February 2020, best progression on free-TV (+0.4%) in one year

• La chaine L'Équipe posted an audience share of 1.6% in February 2020, up 0.4% compared to February 2019, the best increase for a DTT Digital Terrestrial Television channel in one year (the second best all channels combined), according to the only free sports channel in France, on 02/03/2020.
• This is the second best audience month ever for the channel.
