DAZN: OTT platform to be extended to more than 200 countries from 02/05/2020

DAZN will expand to "more than 200 countries and territories" from 02/05/2020, with the next fight of Mexican boxer Canelo Alvarez scheduled on that date, announced the British OTT sports platform on 02/03/2020.

The OTT platform DAZN is present in nine countries (Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, Canada, the United States, Italy, Spain and Brazil), as of 02/03/2020, where it owns multi-sport broadcasting rights in each of these territories.

"This first phase of DAZN's global expansion will be an English-language service focused on boxing, building on the company’s significant investment in the sport over the past two years. DAZN holds international rights to many of the world's top promotional companies including Golden Boy Promotions, Matchroom Boxing USA and GGG Promotions.
