Covid-19 coronavirus epidemic: MotoGP Thailand and Qatar Grand Prix cancelled, Swiss football halted

The MotoGP Grand Prix of Thailand, scheduled for the Buriram circuit on 03/22/2020 is canceled, the organizers announced on 03/01/2020. After the cancellation of the Qatar Grand Prix (Doha), which was to open the World Championship on 08/03/2020, these are the first two scheduled events which disappear from the calendar. The first of 2020 will therefore be the GP of the Americas scheduled near Austin (Texas, United States), on 04/04/2020.

The Covid-19 coronavirus appeared in Wuhan (China) in December 2019, and has generated more than 80,000 cases of contamination and caused the death of more than 2,900 people as of 02/03/2020. This epidemic also affects Italy (more than 1,500 patients and 34 died as of 02/03/2020) and has forced Lega Serie A to postpone four matches of the Matchday 25 of Serie A scheduled for 23/02/2020 and six matches of Matchday 26, including Juventus FC - Inter Milan potentially moving to 13/05/2020.
