FC Bayern Munich: an internal commission created after incidents during match versus TSG Hoffenheim

"FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) has reacted to the incidents during the away game at Hoffenheim (Bundesliga) and set up an internal commission to look into what happened. This commission will, on the one hand, investigate the events of Saturday and, on the other, draw up measures which will take effect in the short and medium term in cases of racism, abuse, anti-Semitism, sexism, homophobia and exclusion of any kind," announced the German club on 02/03/2020.

The creation of this commission follows the events that happened during the TSG Hoffenheim - FC Bayern Munich match (0-6, Matchday 24 of the 2019-20 Bundesliga), which was interrupted several times after certain supporters of the Bavarian club unrolled an insulting and hostile banner against Dietmar Hopp (owner of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim) to show their opposition to the ownership of Hoffenheim by a wealthy patron, in this case one of the founders and former CEO of the German IT company SAP, an exception to the so-called "50+1" rule (see below) which is respected by the vast majority of German professional clubs, including Bayern…
