Mediapro: a turnover of €1.82bn (-7.6%) and EBITDA of €224m (+0.9%) in 2019

Mediapro posted a turnover of €1.82bn in 2019, down 7.6% compared to 2018 (€1.97 bn), "due to the effects of modifications in certain audiovisual rights contracts and the end of the contract to the rights to LaLiga in Spain (at the beginning of the 2019-20 season)," announced the Spanish audiovisual group on 06/03/2020.

The audiovisual group posted an EBITDA of €224m (+0.9%) in 2019, while the group's debt was €727m on 31/12/2019, up 64% (€442m on 31/12/2018) over one year.

"The Group has made a strong investment effort (€80m) to consolidate its international expansion and activity in all markets of its different business areas (content, audiovisual rights, audiovisual and digital services, and eSports). In 2019, the Mediapro Group also successfully delivered the One Soccer channel for the dissemination of the Canadian Soccer League and the audiovisual production of the competition," said Mediapro.

  • The Spanish media group Imagina Group, the holding company of the Mediapro audiovisual group, was bought by the Chinese investment fund Orient Hontai Capital up to 53.5% on 16/02/2018.
