Reserving the presidential stand at the Orange Vélodrome (66,226 capacity) for women was one of the initiatives put in place by Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 Conforama) to honour women on the occasion of the club's match versus Amiens SC Football (2-2, Matchday 28 of the Ligue 1 Conforama) on 06/03/2020, two days ahead of International Women's Day (08/03/2020).

"The presidential stand brought together nearly 200 women from different backgrounds: well-known personalities from the world of politics, business, footballing bodies, medicine and the arts, as well as women from the shadows such as school principals, volunteers from associations, chefs..." explained the French club.

The match was kicked off by two female members of Olympique de Marseille fan groups. The club also signed the "Bye Bye Sexism" charter, led by the NGO Business Professional Women, which aims to combat sexism and improve the conditions of treatment of women in companies (see below), ahead of the game versus Amiens SC.
